Member and Facilitator Testimonials:

Below are just some of the nice notes we have received from our members and facilitators. Click here to find out more about becoming a member.

"PC", Washington, DC Facilitator:

We have several young ladies who were not raised in Christ and the questions they were asking were just so powerful and God came through other members of the group who have now their own personal relationship with Him. It was such a powerful meeting, we shared some personal stuff, cried a little and did a lot of praise and laughter.

Thank you so much for allowing me to faciitate such a wonderful ministry. I pray that God will continue to remove me and present Himself at each of our meetings.

Continue to be Blessed!

Eleanor Williams from Los Angeles, CA:

Hi !

My name is Eleanor Williams and I am a member of a chapter of the glory girls. All of the members of our group meet in Los Angeles California once every two months and we all love it. We all look forward to reading our book and coming together to discuss it. Your program is a Blessing in so many ways. It gives women a chance to meet together and fellowship discussing issues in our lives and getting Godly solutions. The program is so well planned out We meet often enough. We have plenty of time to read our book and go over our questions. The guestions are good and make you think and search your heart and your walk with the Lord as Christian women.

Thank you so much for allowing the Lord to lead you into this ministry. May God continue to guide and direct you as you lead the way for us in selecting the books we read and the things we do as Glory Girls.

Lynell from Lee's Summit, Missouri

Our May 2006 meeting was awesome!  LaTonya Mason was our special guest, she flew in from Charlotte to Kansas City to attend our discussion of "Good To Me".  It was a tremendous blessing having her with us!  Words can not capture the experience we had with her being there with us.

This is a wonderful ministry, I am so glad to be a part of it!

Bridget from Oklahoma:

My Dear Sistahs,

Just wanted to drop a line to let you know what is going on in Oklahoma City! We are so blessed! The book club has taken off with such passion. We have read, Temptation, ChurchFolks, Joy and just finished Singsation. What a delight they all were. It is hard to keep our discussions to a time schedule! We do leave an open door to whoever wants to leave after the discussions, but guess what.....nobody wants to go home. What a wonderful web site. I truly appreciate the in-depth discussion questions. For the other books recommended are there other discussion questions. I would also like to know how I can order book bags for birthday gifts for my group. I now have a brother too. How can I make a white sistah welcome? I will be sending a picture soon!

Joyfully in Jesus

Bridget, Facilitator, Oklahoma

Monica from Graham, NC:

Ladies, Thank you for all that you do. Also, I'd like to say thank you for this group and the books. It's not easy being a 26-year-old Christian and to top it off--single. Since graduating from college, I've had more people asking me when am I going to find a man and get married and do this and that!

I'm able to draw faith and strength from my prayers and the Word, but God didn't stop there. With the books and this Glory Girls group, I realize that it is okay and I'm okay at this stage in my life. Through characters like Anya in Joy, I see that it is ok to have a career and trust that God will guide me to the right people and places He has for me.

Like Essie in Church Folk, I see that I don't have to compromise my beliefs to please others. Like Deborah in Singsation, I see that using my talents right can only glorify God. From Kyla in Temptation, I re-affirmed that keeping the faith and letting God handle my storms is the best way to run this Christian race. Thank you, but most of all, Praise God! Jeremiah 29:11

Sue, Facilitator, Los Angeles, CA:

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! The Los Angeles GLORY GIRLS thank you so much for arranging the conference call with Michele Andrea Bowen! I did not let the ladies know that she was going to call. Instead, I told them that you wanted us to submit one question in writing to her for the web site After arriving, Michele called and the ladies were in shock. There were a lot of interesting questions and she was so gracious in taking the time to discuss the book with us.

I have been to many author signings and the way Michele took the time to discuss her motivation for the book, the characters and her upcoming work was beyond compare! We thank you for providing such a great highlight to our meeting - everyone is still talking about it!

Also, God bless whoever prepares the discussion questions and the related scriptures. We marvel at how much thought and preparation has gone into it - what a blessing! Thank you so much - we are proud to be GLORY GIRLS.

God Bless!

Robin, Facilitator, Cleveland, OH:

Everyone stated a different reason for participating, but in the end we concluded that God had a greater purpose in pulling us all together. We're such an eclectic group in age, professions, denominations, and marital status. The closing prayer was awesome (customers in the store joined in) and each woman had an opportunity to pray over the group. One of the attendants' husband (a pastor) prayed for us and ministered a healing prayer over the elderly mother of one of the women. My friend, Cynthia, who is a great singer, led us all in singing, "Our God is an Awesome God."

Wonjen, Facilitator, Andover, ME:

ABSOLUTELY REFRESHINGLY WONDERFUL While we were anticipating a few more members to come, we truly enjoyed each other - it is fun to be in the company of black Christian women.

Lena, Facilitator, Seattle, WA:

I am pleased to let you know we held our first actual Reading Group discussion on Friday, November 30. It was amazing.. God was at work, the women enjoyed one another and the book discussion. They also especially enjoyed the wonderful opportunity to fellowship with one another! It was an exciting time and we truly had "churrrch!

Stephanie, Facilitator, Atlanta, GA:

One of the Sisters opened her home to us and we all brought snacks. We had an incredibly blessed time!!!! For most of us it was our first time meeting but we felt like family before the night was over. I hope you all continue to post the questions because even though we deviated from the questions many sisters had already study the questions before the meeting and it just ignited the discussion. I am soooooo excited about our next meeting!"

Tracy, Facilitator, Atlanta, GA:

Glory Girls, is not only a Christian Women's Book Club, but it is a ministry within itself. I have found that the books we have read thus far have not only challenged each of our relationships with God on a personal level, but has strengthened our Faith in Him on a new level. Friendships have blossomed and unity is being developed in the women. Our meetings are filled with laughter, testimonies & love. Praise God for Glory Girls.
